In 2019, LIGHT in LIFE was able to support one family under the project a roof over your head. One-third of the cost is given by LIGHT in LIFE. The rest of the cost was taken care of by the local partners and organisations, patrons and the beneficiaries. Contribution by the beneficiary brings in a sense of understanding and gratitude for them.
We are pleased to state that from the inception of LIGHT in LIFE till the end of 2019, we have built 99 “Dream Homes” for the homeless in India. These houses offer the beneficiaries support, stability and security and give them a new lease of life.
The 100th house (picture above) of LIGHT in LIFE in Mylapra, Pathanamthitta will be ready for occupancy in early 2020. We are proud that with our support 100 homeless families have already received a permanent roof above their heads.
